CPR & First Aid Certification
The Beat Goes On offers CPR and first aid classes to give you the hands-on training you need. We offer several CPR classes to meet your needs from Adult, Infant and Child CPR to First Aid only. We can teach any of these classes at your location or ours.
Adult, Child & Infant CPR, First Aid & AED
5 hours of instruction in the chain of survival, care for choking emergencies, CPR for adults, children, and infants, use of an AED, and first aid skills. From bleeding and burns to seizures and splinting, this first aid covers what rescuers can do in the first few minutes before EMS arrives. 2-year certification.
Adult, Child & Infant CPR with AED
3 hours of instruction in the chain of survival, care for choking emergencies, CPR for adults, children and infants, and use of an AED. This course does not include first aid. 2-year certification.
Adult & Child CPR with AED
2 hours of instruction in the chain of survival, care for choking emergencies, CPR for adults and children 1-8 years of age, and use of an AED. This course does not include first aid. 2-year certification.
Adult CPR, AED & First Aid
4 hours of instruction in Adult CPR & First Aid. Includes choking emergencies and AED training. First aid skills, include caring for seizures, diabetic emergencies, broken bones, heat and cold emergencies, scene safety, and blood borne pathogen information. 2-year certification. This class starts at 8:30 am and runs to about 12:30 pm.
Adult CPR and AED
2 hours of instruction in Adult CPR for the lay rescuer, incorporating the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association. Course includes care for choking emergencies, AED training, and recognizing heart attacks and strokes. 2-year certification.
First Aid (no CPR/AED)
3 hours of first aid instruction designed for persons assigned to respond to emergencies in the workplace or community, as well as those who want to learn first aid. Class includes: caring for bleeding emergencies, seizures, heat and cold related injuries, head, neck and spine care, and assessment of patients. 2-year certification. This course does not include CPR/AED training.
*Age Ranges for CPR
- Infants are considered from birth to 1 year of age
- Child is 1 to 8 years of age
- Adult is 8+
BLS for Healthcare Providers
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It’s intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or non certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.
